Schedule Filming
We filmed on 12/17/17. Due to the project having to bet submitted the following week we needed to get a lot done within that date. We started filming around 12:30 and it took us all the way till dark. Everything went smooth and well. We even got permission from all the locations we filmed at. As a whole the filming and blogging process was a success.
Casting Roles
A couple of our friends have a passion for cars. We knew it would be easy to gather some of them up to be in our film because it's what we do for fun; car meets. When it came to casting the main characters we took into consideration everyone's personality and who we felt fit the role best. The main character is named Austin Jones; he is a confident young man who also likes to live on the dangerous side. The second leading role is Don Brevito "Rampage"; he is also confident; however, he never goes down without a fight. We casted Trey as Austin and Josh as Don. We felt that both of their personalities really fit with the characters. Another character we have is Steven Puchulla. We casted our friend Caleb for this role because they both are very reliable and always willing to help. Lastly, I am Brittney Angel. I am the girl in the film who ends up with the winner of the race. Jane wasn't too interested in acting and being in the film, so she helped a lot behind the scene.
Location
We have chosen 3 different locations for the opening of our film. For our first location we figured we couldn't film kids running from a bank with "guns"; therefore, we chose a building that looked similar to a bank. We found this location because one of our friend's (Tristan) dad owns a business right next to it. Our 2nd location was at the Buddy Brew Parking garage which is where the robbers switch cars as part of their escape technique. When it came to the racing and car meet scene we needed a long safe road. We figured that the Church of Hope would be a great spot to do this at because it is never busy and is off of the main road. Finally, our last location was Josh's house. This was when Trey (Austin) was released from jail 5 years later finding "The List".

Story Board
As a group we decided to have Jane sketch out our story board. Trey, Josh, and I aren't skilled when it comes to drawing. We worked together to give ideas for each shot and this was the turn out..

On 12/6/17 my group and I met up to begin brainstorming about our opening. We came up with a basic sequence of events and then began writing our script. As I typed it out, Jane, Josh, Trey, and I all put together our creative ideas and this was the outcome...
11. Ext. Bank – mid day
Austin and
Steven run around the corner with duffle bags to be picked up in Mercedes s550.
Trey: (yelling) Lets
go! Lets go! Lets go!
Tyler: (worried) I’m
freaking out! We’re going to get caught.
Trey: Don’t worry we’re fine.
They speed
to a parking garage to change and switch cars.
Cut
to: Car meet
22. Ext. Car Meet – mid day
They pull
up to the car meet
Trey: You said come back when I
have enough to risk.
Josh: You think this is some sort
of joke? Even if you had the funds there’s no way you could beat me in a
quarter mile.
Trey:(confident) I got a hunnid racks I’ll win.
Josh: Bet it’s on
Don pulls out a matching duffle bag and drops it on the ground. They get
into their cars and the race begins. Austin wins. The cars pull back up to the main
meet and get out. Don pulls out a gun and cocks it and aims it at Austin.
Everyone at the meet swarms Don and takes the gun from him.
Random car person:(screams) WOAH!
WOAH! WOAH! NOT COOL.
The
guy then takes his keys and hands it to Austin.
Brittney: What’s your name again?
The girls walk over to Austin and
he places his arms around them.
Trey: Austin. Austin Jones
Immediately squad cars pull up with
sirens and lights
Cop: Are you Austin jones?
Trey: Yes?
Cop: Place your hands behind your back
you are under arrest.
Cop reads Miranda Rights while he
throws Austin into the back of the car.
Cut to: Jail
Austin
walks out of jail.
His
phone rings saying unknown. He answers.
Unknown caller: There’s a letter placed in the back pocket of your pants. It contains all of the men that set you up. You decide what
to do.
